F1 Driver Daniel Ricciardo Becomes OKX’s Brand Ambassador

The McLaren Racing Formula One driver, Daniel Ricciardo has partnered with the crypto trading platform OKX. The major multi-year partnership will make Ricciardo the ambassador of OKX during the 2022/23 racing season.

Ricciardo has now entered his eleventh season in the Formula One and second year with McLaren Racing. OKX and Ricciardo plan to enhance the fan experience via a multitude of activities which will include a worldwide campaign, through which Ricciardo will educate fans on crypto trading.

He will also be joining designers from underrepresented communities to build a special edition racing helmet which he will wear during a race.

The collaboration will provide exciting opportunities that will allow the racer’s fans a closer insight into his crypto trading journey, along with an opportunity to get to know him away from the racetrack.

OKX has 20 million users in more than 180 international markets. The partnership with Ricciardo came right after the news of OKX striking a deal with F1’s McLaren Racing.

Daniel Ricciardo said, “I’m honoured to partner with OKX, who are one the leaders in this space. They truly value their customers, and education, transparency and security is paramount to them. The fan experience is going to be at the centre of everything we do together, so expect big things from us this year. Game on!”

The 2022 Monaco Grand Prix on May 29, will be the first race after Daniel Ricciardo became the official partner of OKX. The race will feature Ricciardo wearing a racing cap with OKX branding on it.

“After spending time with Daniel talking about his passion for crypto trading but more importantly his desire to learn, it was obvious he is a seamless fit for OKX” said Haider Rafique, the Chief Marketing Officer at OKX.

“The loveable F1 favourite will be integral in helping us expand the reach of OKX, supercharge the fan experience and educate new audiences on the benefits of trading responsibly with crypto. We are thrilled to be able to announce our long-term partnership ahead of the iconic Monaco Grand Prix, a race that is so special to Daniel,” Rafique added.

OKX is experiencing tremendous growth. In 2021, the total trading volume on the platform rose over 700%, while the number of trades executed on the platform increased by 480%. 
It seems like OKX is dominating the sports partnerships in the crypto space. Just a few months ago, OKX became the Official Crypto Partner of Manchester City. The firm sees potential with sports endorsements and it is taking some major steps to maximise growth.
